Man Found Shot to Death in Lexington, Suspect Named | News
Lexington Police are investigating a shooting in which a man was found dead on the street Wednesday.
Police responded to Meredith Avenue around 1:47 p.m. Wednesday after a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found a male victim lying in the road with an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, Tremel Jerome Bethea, 22, of 1311 Baldwin Ave., High Point, was pronounced dead at the scene.
After interviewing witnesses, police issued a murder warrant for Johnnie Myris Coley II, 22, of Richmond, Virginia.
The SBI, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office, the Thomasville Police Department and the District Attorney are assisting with the investigation.
